CSIRO Bridging the Innovation Gap

This is one of my favourite radio shows that I've been listening to on the ABC now for around 30 years and it never lets me down. Radio is so under rated in the age of Youtube and Facebook. I strongly recommend this show to anyone who is interested in what is happening in Science, Technology and Innovation. I'm constantly reminding my children how radio is so important today, especially when the research and content is far superior than you would get watching most of the content on TV, Youtube and the like.

Australia is good at generating and developing ideas. But the nation is poor at linking the ideas with industry, producing new products and solving problems. CSIRO is addressing this with its ON Accelerate program. Teams of scientists present their ideas and learn how to take their innovation beyond the lab. The program finishes with teams presenting their ideas before government, investors, potential partners and customers.
